I have just returned from Punta Cana. Whilst there a group of four of us took a day excursion with these guys to try see some of Dominican Republic other than just the beach. We were not to be disappointed.. Our pick up arrived on time at our hotel. The tour is conducted using semi open converted lorries. They look good and give you a genuine feel that you are going on an outback tour. They are roomy, reasonably comfortable, and the stairs used a accessible to all but the most mobility challenged. Our guide was Jesus, driver was Caesar. Both of them were amazing. We were filled with local information and history. Jokes galore, ample Dominican coffee (rum and coke) all day long. The itinerary was well thought out and executed. Was great to see how the island runs outside of the hotel resorts. The local people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. Exceptionally safe trip all round. Lunch was very nice indeed. Local fare with a good BBQ mix thrown in. The rum flowed through...

These folks were top notch. Our guide was a lady names Suzi and she really knew what she was talking about as we drove around. She gave us lots of great information about the island, people, and culture. Our first stop was to a little school house that had a few students in session at the time. It was hard to see little ones trying to learn with minimal books, supplies, or even limited running water and fans. Outback Adventures has a program where they donate to the local schools which is great but more is really needed for these kids. Our next stop was to a little area that is owned by a family that grows cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla. They also make their own mamajuana. This was a great stop. We got to see the steps in the process of making these and I have to say it was some of the best coffee and vanilla I have ever had in my life. Went to punta cana sept30-oct 10. I have booked several times with Punta Cana Tours, and never had a problem. The pricing is very reasonable and I was excited to see I could pay via PayPal upfront. It's great getting to the resort in a air-conditioned vehicle, with a friendly courteous member from Punta Cana Tours. Plus arrived to the resort before the bus load and got to stay an extra hour at the resort on departure day because we didn't have to stop anywhere to pick people up! Book with confidence, you won't regret it.

We did the zip line and hoyo azul at scape park, what a blast! The zip lining was a bit scary for me and a bit of a challenge since I'm not in the best of shape. But if I can do it anyone can. The guides were safety conscious as well as fun. The hoyo azul (blue hole) was beautiful, but the water was cold. We bought the picture package, which they put on a USB, fantastic pictures. This was fun for the entire family. I highly recommend it!

Transportation was good, the tour guide was funny and explained everything both in English and Spanish. Price was very affordable. Once on the island you’ll have an awesome time. Food was good . It was a buffet and it was included. Buffet consisted of rice, chicken, salad etc.

On the island they offer massages , drinks that came inside of pineapples and professional photos all of which are out of pocket. *Make sure to negotiate the prices, trust me you could ALWAYS get the price to what you think it should cost*

Coming back was really smooth as well. Make sure to bring snacks for the trip back to your hotel because we spent At least 11hrs on this excursion and only ate that one time on the island.

Bilan: excursion bien organisée, très belles plages, peu de monde, mer limpide, repas de qualité, mais journée assez « fatigante « . A faire. Seul bémol: le descriptif indiquait « retour en catamaran » et ce ne fut pas le cas.

Saona Island was BEAUTIFUL !!! Now with that being said...the transportation was not the greatest. Lots and lots of transfers. We were picked up, pickled up other people, dropped off down town and waited about 20 minutes for another bus. Once on the bus we stopped at some local shop, then headed to the marina. Waited around for quite awhile before we boarded the boat. It was literally over 3 hours from being picked up to boarding the boat. Once on board, we get to the natural swimming pool which was great. Then it was off to the island. Spent about 2-3 hrs on the island. Lunch was meh. The fish made my bf sick for the next 2 days...going on 3. Can't complain about the beach. It was perfect!!! White sand, clear water, palm trees, etc. Some of the vendors were a little pushy but not too bad. We them got back on the speedboat to be transferred to the catamaran. Long ride back to land 2+ hours. Then back to the bus for the long ride back. Overall it was a good day. It was just a very long day, which I expected. Just didn't think there'd be so much transferring. All day we had 5 different drivers. The beautiful island is what got this tour 5 stars.

Everyone was super nice, but you have to change boats. It was kinda dangerous but the workers are there to help you. We started out with the glass bottom boat, it was okay. Then you get on another boat where you can snorkel. We saw some fish and the coral reef.

As we waited to do the scuba doo. I began do get motion sickness and we had to go back to shore.

It’s hard for everything to run smoothly when you have so many people. The workers where very kind to us and had a driver to take us back to the resort.
